“IPLs don’t work”, they say. ‘They’ are wrong. Here’s some proof…

I often hear people saying that “IPLs don’t work”. That’s not true. They are usually basing this on poor results which occur because of poor training. It seems to me that most people using IPLs out there are not properly trained! Hence the poor results…

Here is an example of a good result with an IPL on underarm hair. This young lady had her treatments more than 20 years ago – when the technology was not as advanced as today’s!!

She remembers having eight treatment sessions in total, but cannot remember the gaps between them. She said that the operator gave her ice packs which she had to apply for a few minutes. In fact, she says that she complained about how cold her pits were!! When the light energy was applied she says she felt a slight, ‘nipping’ sensation – which means that the pre-cooling worked.

As we can see, more than 20 years later, her armpits are still clear (apart from three rogue hairs – probably dormant follicles at the time of treatment).

She has had no re-growth since then. Her armpits are hair-free and she has had no issues with them since.

This is just one case, but it shows that the correct application of an IPL system can generate excellent, and ‘permanent’ results – contrary to the commonly held misconceptions out there…

Hope this helps,

Mike.
