In our latest podcast my lovely daughter, Lisa, interviews me – it was her idea!!
In it, we discuss my history in lasers and IPLs starting with the original DermaLase company, back in 1988. We discuss my clinical and theoretical research at Canniesburn Hospital and Strathclyde University in the late 1980s and the world’s first scar-free laser tattoo removal clinic, in Glasgow, which we opened in 1989.
I also talk about introducing the original Q-switched ruby laser into markets around the world, including the USA, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

I include the time I met the guy who invented the original IPL device, way back in 1990 and how we helped him develop it into a commercial success.
It’s a bit of a train ride through history, but hopefully you will learn something about how I got to where I am today – wherever that is…
