Our plans for 2026

Happy New Year to you all. I hope you all have an excellent, prosperous and healthy 2026.

We have a number of plans which I’d like to share with you.

First, we will be launching our new VTCT Level 5 course for laser tattoo removal. I spent the holiday period writing a new PowerPoint presentation with an accompanying manual. This manual will be in paperback form and also as a PDF, with links to our videos, animations, blog posts, podcasts etc. It will also have links to our downloadable books and booklets.

If you are interested in taking up this training course, please contact us.

Secondly, we plan to hold a number of Masterclasses across the UK and in our new Glasgow office. These will be two-day events where we will discuss the use of lasers and IPLs in the removal of hair, blood vessels, tattoos benign pigmentation and also skin rejuvenation. As usual, we will begin with an explanation of the physics of lasers and light energy in the skin and the fundamentals of these processes. We are also thinking about holding mini masterclasses in our own office, with some hands-on demonstrations.

Again, if you are interested in attending one of these masterclasses, please let us know.

We are also thinking about extending our Masterclass to other countries across the world. If you’re interested in one of these, please contact me.

Thirdly, we will continue our podcasts. These have proven to be quite popular across the planet. We launched back in February of last year, but so far we’ve had more than 15,000 listeners in many countries. If you have any topics that you would like us to discuss, please let me know.

And fourthly, I will be continuing my own research into various treatments. At the moment, I am deep into hair removal. I am looking at some new ideas and making some new mathematical models to explore. Already I have found some interesting results which I plan to publish, hopefully, later this year. I also hope to be discussing them at the BMLA conference in May. Maybe I’ll see you there.

In addition to this research, I am also still researching tattoo removal with some new ideas.

Then, finally, I am planning to increase our range of booklets. At the moment, we have six free-to-download booklets at my scribblings.info website. I have a few ideas for more of these booklets, covering a range of topics. Once again, if you have any suggestions for any particular topic, then just let me know.

That’ll do for now,

Mike.

  1. Hi Mike,

I have just discovered your podcasts and I am going to listen to them over the next week or so.

I started today with the one on Tattoo ink and the Removal process.

I am in the clinical training department for Candela Medical in Australia and New Zealand.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Dermal Therapies so I love the laser physics stuff you talked about!

I would love to hear your thoughts on Pico V Nano TR.

you also talked about the pathway of the removal process which interests me mostly.

Have you published and clinical papers on this subject?
    Thank you

    1. Hi Kirsten,

I’ve only just found this message!

I am currently writing some papers on tattoo and hair removal by laser, including my new thoughts on the fluence thresholds required. It turns out we’ve been treating tattoos wrongly for decades!!

      Best wishes,
      Mike.
