I started doing Monte Carlo and numerical thermal models in 1987 to try and figure out the ‘best’ set of laser parameters to treat PWS vessels. That was a long time ago! Since then I have re-started this work using the Arrhenius Damage Integral to examine the denaturation of vessel walls.
My colleague, Per-Arne Torstensson, has developed an excellent optical model which generates results we can then plug into our thermal model. We’re writing some reports based on our results which we hope to publish soon.
I’ll keep you updated as things progress.
Mike.
