I presented two talks to the BMLA meeting this year:
1. Determining the optimum fluences required to irreversibly destroy hair follicles using numerical analyses, and;
2. Selective Photothermolysis revisited: Why ‘Matching the Pulsewidth with the TRT’ argument is fundamentally wrong in laser/IPL hair removal.
They are both physics-related discussions on the application of light energy to the skin, in particular to hair follicles. The first talk discusses the fluence that we should be applying to achieve our desired goal, and the second one discusses why the idea of matching pulsewidth with a relaxation time is just wrong.
I hope you enjoy them.
Ciao for now,
Mike.

P.S. Don’t forget to listen in on our podcast, which comes out every Thursday.

Available on Apple, Spotify, and Amazon and probably some other places too…
