“The Aesthetics Blind Spot” – my talk to the Laser Safety Forum

I recently gave a talk (Sept 26) to the Laser Safety Forum in Loughborough. This is a meeting of all sorts of people involved with laser safety in industry, scientific research, medicine and various other sectors. I had been invited to give a talk about the state of play of laser safety in the UK aesthetics industry.

It went down well although I think I did scare the pants off quite a few of them. They didn’t realise that laser/IPL safety in the aesthetics industry in the UK is virtually unregulated and unchecked.

Unfortunately this is the reality that we live in today. Below is my talk. I hope you enjoy it.
